Alistair Tinto, EPOC member and recent chaiman of the Yorkshire and Humberside Orienteering Association, sadly died last night (August 19), aged 50. He had been fighting a brain tumour for the last 12 months and was being treated in the Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford. He was well known to many HALO members, as he was a regular attender (and frequent organiser) at many orienteering events. He also worked very closely with many HALO members during the successful organisation of the 2016 JK.
He will be sadly missed by his family, by EPOC and by the orienteering community in general.
