September Thursday Night Activities

Starting on Thursday September 9th (evening) the Club will be putting on some Orienteering Activities which will follow on the lines of a Club Night, a Pub League, a LampO and a  MapRun all rolled into one.

The first event will start from the Priory Inn, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe between 5.30pm and 7pm. If the weather is fine we will be outside the pub.

This first event will be in a new area (Ashby) and will use an OOM at a scale of 1:7500 and will be a 45 minutes Score with approximately 21 controls. It will also be  MapRun enabled with controls being on Lamp Posts so those unfamiliar with the MapRun App can manually record their times and note the lamp post numbers accordingly.

The use of the MapRun app for the Spring PrePoacher Events we had was relatively successful so I hope you all remember how it was used. Refresher training will be given.

Cleethorpes 23rd September (newly extended OCAD map)

Market Weighton 30th September (new OCAD map)

Entries are via HERO. NO ENTRY ON THE DAY.

Under 16’s must be accompanied.
