The first ever event on the Hull University grounds was well organised, well mapped and well planned by the Smith clan. It was a privilige to be one of the first to run on a brand new map.
The expected influx of students didn’t materialise (probably still in bed!), but at least we had one family who turned up as a result of the radio interview on Radio Humberside in the morning. There was a good turnout of club members, many travelling from the South Bank. Mike and Dorothy had planned four courses, White, Yellow and Orange for the Juniors and beginners and a Technical course for the experienced orienteers.
