10/06/2015 Poacher 10 & LUL 1 Freshney and Willows

Report
I hope you all enjoyed the first Poacher Urban Event. This area proved to be an excellent urban test for new and experienced urban competitors, together with an ideal venue for a Short course for Juniors to compete contemporaneously. All in all it proved a success despite the map needing a few tweaks and the late loss of one SI box (only one competitor affected). Please put your routes on routegadget as it should be interesting reading.
On the Short Oliver defeated Flora for the second successive week.
The Medium is proving very interesting with all trophies to be decided next week. Megan's recent good form and Yasmin's recent spell of examitis means that Joe is in poll position unless his sister recovers in time to at least finish in the top two next week. We have a position in fact it might not be in Megan's interest to win next week to win a trophy. If she 'allows' Yasmin to win and finishes second and Joe then comes third then she will be Ladies Champion, however if she wins and Yasmin is second, Joe if third would be the overall champion, Yasmin Ladies and Luke Junior. Very intriguing, but I'm sure Chris will no doubt put a spanner in the works some where. So next weeks 5 course format will be once again be a game of cat and mouse.
The Long was once again won by Zac fending off Urban/Sprint guru Brian W.Champion Paul had a problem with his butterfly but managed third place.
Next week the trophies will be presented straight after the Pillar Event - so stay behind and bring some drink and nibbles - limited amount will be provided(& a chair) and enjoy yor picnic - hopefully the weather will be equally good.
Next week (Thursday) sees another Event the LCS at Hemswell Cliff - if you have not registered your interest to compete pleas email me by Sunday night (). Start times will be pre allocated so look out for listing on website or at Pillar. Don' forget Horncastle tonight!!
