Report
Unsurprisingly Paul the Planner was 1000k away in deepest Bavaria - on this basis it would only take Mary 14 days (& others) to get there(based on last nights times) and probably another 14 days to find him! Only joking.
The overall times here are getting faster and no search parties were required this year.
It was another good night for the LOGgies - taking the first 3 places on the Long (a first) and Hannah winning the Short and with Martin taking second on the Medium using all of his many years experience. However performance of the day was from Megan who took the honours for HALO on the Medium by a massive margin of 6 minutes, that is with only a few years experience. Chris was as consistent as ever in third, but still leads the current standings (is he the James Milner of orienteering?)
A time of less than an hour would have resulted in a top ten finish on either of the longer courses.
The tables are taking shape although early days and with Jokers to play for planners (Except Dean who played his last night successfully)and with 'double' points next week it is still all to play for.
As you may be aware next Wednesday is #worldorienteeringday as well as a certain couple's silver wedding anniversary so join in the dual celebrations at the ever popular Primrose. Where I can guarantee virtually all the times will be less than an hour - unless the good weather continues and the nettles take over.
Thanks to Chris,Dom,Terry & Alex for kite collecting & Helena and Pete for 'manning' registration & download.
