15/06/2016 Poacher 10 Brookenby Park & Village

Notes
Course B 1.5K has had control 119 removed and the legs either side voided. As a consequence the course distance has been reduced to get the correct running speed.
Report
Firstly thanks to Pete s for sorting results quickly after having to omit one control for Course B. Hopefully you still enjoyed this new area - which is ideal for such sprint orienteering with a good mix of terrain and features. Thanks to G4S for allowing us to use the Industrial Park area.
After his 3rd place at the British Sprints at the weekend, Paul was able to continue his good form and take his first Poacher victory of 2016. Good runs from Lee (fastest on 1k course),Pete S who confirmed his Ultra Masters title and Helena who confirmed her Women's title (again).
On the Medium it was a good day for Ben who not only gained another Poacher success, but also is now the Junior Champion. Performance of the day goes to Heather who after inadvertently mispunching on the 1k course, had to then run the 2.5k in order to record points, as she had already run the 1.5k & 2k, so in total did 7k!! The only trophy to be decided next week is the Ladies title, with 5 Ladies in 5th to 9th places in the current standings it is likely to be between Rosie and Holly who are ahead of the pack.
On the Short Hannah's success now gives her the maximum 500 points with Beth consistently just behind.
Next week we are at Central Park Scunthorpe with presentations and picnic to follow proceedings. Still short of a few trophies from last year's winners - please bring to the event.
