20/06/2018 Poacher 11 - Normanby Hall

Report
We have certainly learnt a few lessons over the past few weeks with the micro Sprint format. Firstly, given a good area and a good map and with numbered controls it has some legs. Secondly, it is a headache when somebody mispunches or fails to register. Thirdly, it is an even bigger headache when a potential Trophy winner does both. Fourthly, without Pete's technical input on the day and the evening we would all be at a loss - thanks again on behalf of the whole Club.
Thanks to Megan and all the planners for their work over the Series. Thanks to all kite collectors last night and over the Series. Thanks to Mike for his ice creams and Jackie for her baking and all others who contributed to the quick snack in the park.
Thanks to all for adhering to the early curfew - pity about the early closure of the park. Sympathise who travelled a distance and in convenienced by Show traffic diversions etc.
Apologies to Rod who helped knock some nettles down before the event and then inadvertently unearthed a wasps nest and consequently got stung 3 times - hope it doesn't affect your Bowls or your guitar strumming.
Congratulations to Trophy winners - Harry, Elspeth, Megan, Oli, Yasmin, Brian, Neil, Andrew and Paul.
Don't forget next Wednesday 's LUL event in Brigg - parking back of the Angel.
