8/06/2016 Poacher 9 Normanby Park
The popular 5 course 'mix and match' sprint format which introduce a tactical element, produced some excellent sport; partly due to Andrew's planning, partly due to the runnable terrain and partly due to the change in the weather.
I believe after the ninth event we have some more trophy winners, with Hannah and Lawrence the new champions of the Short and Medium Courses respectively;and also Paul,Neil and Pete S now virtually certain of their titles. Still plenty to run for the next 2 weeks, for the remaining trophies.
Performance of the night goes to David J claiming his first ever (I believe) Long Course victory with his 'deerlike' running style and speed being particularly useful around the sanctuary.
Thanks to Helena (again), Mary (again) and Isoldt (again) for kite collecting.
Next week we visit a new area, running at the former WWII airfield RAF Binbrook, home of the Bomber Command and used for filming the 1990 blockbuster Memphis Belle. Now renamed Brookenby, parking and registration will be close to the Community Centre, which is signposted.
All trophies not returned - required next week please.
