British Schools Score Orienteering Championships Successes

Congratulations to Yasmin, Jake and Zac Field on their achievements at the 2009 British Schools Score Orienteering Championships.

Yasmin won Gold for Year 6 girls and Jake won Gold for Year 8 boys. Zac achieved a very creditable 4th in the Year 10-11 boys. (Being Year 10 he was beaten by two England Year 11 representatives and his England Team mate Aidan Smith Year 10. So probably the most hotly contested year group. It is worth noting that he would have picked up Bronze on the Year 12-13 class, so hotly fought was the 10-11 category.)

Yasmin’s achievement was so convincing that she actually achieved a Team Bronze for Minster Primary despite being their only representative. A team consists of best 2 counters, her individual score rivaled other schools scores for two people.
