[IMG]http://www.halo-orienteering.org.uk/images/CV_BSOA_Champ_09.jpg[/IMG]Against some top competition, Charlotte Ward secured the Girl’s Year 12, British Schools title at Druridge Bay Country Park, north of Newcastle. Completing the 3.5k course with 60 metres climb in a time of 23:09, Charlotte ran out the winner by just over a clear 2 minutes. The area consisted of a strip of complex, rough open sand dunes, before looping into the simpler Country Park, therefore requiring a good balance of running speed against navigation. Congratulations to Charlotte, running the day after a very impressive performance in the Nopesport Urban League Final held in Sheffield City Centre.
