The Best 4 Scores Counted.
Despite Neil being AWOL due to sickness he was crowned champion as Mary was unable to take advantage of his absence. It was a close contest and Mary unfortunately would have won on the night (handicap) if she had not exceeded the time limit. With over 4 minutes to get from her last control to the finish and a distance of only 300m to navigate, victory was in sight. However Mary decided to take the ‘scenic’ less direct route and circumvent the Market Place and explore all the adjacent paths, alleyways and roads and as a result ended up 47 seconds over the time limit as only Mary can do!
