Congratulations to LOG for their victory on this occasion, competition was intense and a very friendly welcome was enjoyed by all. A great atmosphere was created by the venue and the excellent course produced by Annie Gibb.
We had a good turn out for this event despite the many who were incapacitated owing to other commitments. For instance our chair was orienteering on Ryanair seeking Portugal.
HALO could not provide enough runners for each of the categories and so would only be able to achieve 2nd position!. Yours truly messed up on number 9 thinking no. 4 was good enough.
Mary Vickers handed over the Shield to Paul Murgatroyd for them to keep for just 1 year…? Ever the optimist.
Brian Ward was the official photographer and will hopefully provide a link for us to see hectic scenes of madly engrossed navigator/runners.
