The current standings in the 2012 HALO Saturday League with one round to go are here.
The final round is on Saturday April 21st at the Humber Bridge Country Park (parking at the Foreshore car park). The Saturday events have been a big success with nearly 150 runs having taken place so far (White 50, Yellow 21, Orange 33 and Green 44). The true figure of participants is far higher as many runs were done by family groups.
The White course will be contested by HALO juniors Jacob Smith and Bella Brittain and will be decided on April 21st.
Top of the Yellow course is LOG’s Charlotte Fox.
EBOR junior Helen Thacker looks to be the only one who can win the Orange course, although HALO junior Dom Simmonds could take the lead with a good run in the last round although won’t have the requisite number of events (4).
The most competitive course is the Green handicap. Mary Vickers cannot now be beaten but she has been pushed all the way by Matthew Williams. Mary is the first to admit that her handicap is generous, but that is simply a measure of her improvement since last year. The handicap will be a lot lower in the next series.
