Report
Thanks to David for planning this event at the last minute, a last minute substitution for Lawrence who celebrated his 50th birthday at a last minute conference in London instead. So apologies for the misnumbering and misloctating of the odd control, and as a result the odd leg has been excluded.
On World Orienteering Day everyone’s celebrations were probably a bit longer than anticipated, except for Liam who repeated last weeks impressive performance with an even bigger winning margin. Other good runs from John, Mike and PeteS.
On the Medium Chris had a mare and gave his main rivals the chance to take advantage, which Hannah and Paul did accordingly. Good runs also from Andy and Dorothy.
On the Medium Mary took top spot again.
The League tables are taking shape with Liam showing his dominance, Paul and John battle it out for the Masters, the 2 Petes head the SV and UV categories. Looks like there will be a new Ladies Champion - Kate or Harriet?
On the Medium Rosie’s consistency gives her the lead and joined by other Ladies and Girls going for the trophies Elspeth, Hannah and Jackie, this may result in a clean sweep for the 4 trophies up for grabs.
Thanks to kite collectors Tracey, Kate, Dom, Chris and Cooks et al.
Next week we are at Swallow Vale, which has been considerably thinned and is even more runnable than before, but the slopes have not been flattened. Geoff is the last minute planner who will no doubt get his O fix for the week at his local woods in Woodhall Spa at the LOG Ostlers Plantation event on Monday.
