Apologies for the false start - once insurance matters resolved all was good including Elspeth’s courses. Thanks to her for some classic sprint courses on her first planning venture.
With the main titles already resolved Liam took a rest and allowed Mike to take a victory on the Long, probably his first. With Paul mpiing he needs a clear run next week to overtake the ever consistent Dean for the Masters crown. Dave and Pete S are in prime positions to take super and ultra vets titles. However it is the Ladies title where the main competition lies with Helena and Kate once again fighting it out with the 2 Juniors Hannah and Elspeth Plus Harriet who has a joker to play.
Remember those completing greater than 6 events can easily gain extra points when their nightmare runs are excluded.
Flora once again proved her versatility by being able to win on all terrains and Imogen showed that youth is on her side with another credible performance.
Note last Poacher we introduced a new trophy which last year was awarded to top WSV on Medium this year it will go to top MUV on Medium. With a few Joker modifications this will be also a close contest between Paul, John and Rod.
Next week with the 2 separate courses being run as much help as possible will be required and patience as the results formulated. Timings are tight so adherence to start times is important. However competitors who are late can hopefully be accommodated one would not want people unnecessarily missing out to what promises to be an interesting climax.
