Report

There was a very good turn out for this orienteering event at the popular Humber Bridge Country Park. Unfortunately after planning and publicising the event, I was unable to be there on the day due to exam marking duties. I am very grateful to ever dependable HALO members Paul and Jackie for putting out the controls, to Ken for organising the registration area and to Stuart, Ann and Sue for helping at registration and at the starts. Without their input, this event would not have happened.
We used a low-tech system for timing on the day which meant that the results took longer than normal to appear. It would have been easier to simply type them out, but I persevered with uploading the printer box into the normal results software, which wasn't as simple as I thought it may have been. You live and learn.
There were many positive comments about the event and I hope that those new to the sport will be able to attend more events in the future.
