The first event in the New Series proved to be as competitive as ever. The Odds and Evens format is generally a far more strategic 'game' especially when all controls are 'nearly' achievable and set in the upland town of Caistor, so Isoldt certainly gave everyone a physical and mental challenge. Brian nearly achieved maximum points but the 19 controls visited was still sufficient to hold off the female challenge of Elspeth (spurred on by her dad), Jackie and Amanda.

Next week Brian W plans in Central Beverley so expect more of the same in terms of strategy.
