Directions to the Pier for those not familiar with Hull.

2 choices-both approaching from the A63 Clive Sullivan way travelling east (you can’t turn right (south) to Victoria Pier from the Clive Sullivan Way)

      1.  Go over the River Hull (you will see Deep and Tidal barrier to your right) to the first roundabout and double back on yourself. After re-crossing the River Hull take the first left.  This leads to the Pier, the Minerva is at the right hand end (west).

2.From the Clive Sullivan way turn left into High Street (possibly signed for Markets), this is the last turn before the River Hull. (I think this is the second left after the Princes Quay Shopping Centre Car Park). In High Street, take the first right and then right again and you will drive underneath the dual carriageway, follow the road round to the right and at the junction turn left.  This leads to the Pier, the Minerva is at the right hand end (west).

Roadside parking is available.  It is free for 2 hours up to 6:30pm, I don’t think there are restrictions after 6:30pm – PLEASE CHECK THIS WHEN YOU PARK.

Following the successful launch of this new venture in Brigg, the second Thursday Pub League venue has now been confirmed.

Thursday October 18th around the Marina and Old Town area of Hull with registration, etc at the Minerva Hotel, Nelson Street HU1 1EX.

The pub does meals until 8pm.  If you think you won’t be ordering until after 8pm, please let the landlord know before you start your run.

Starts will be from 6pm to 6:30pm.  Fees £2 adults. Dibber hire £1.  Not suitable for unaccompanied under-16’s. Please email Neil Harvatt () to reserve a map. (spare maps will available)

The format will be similar to Alex and Chris’s in Brigg, with approx 30 controls hung on lamp-posts, railings, statues and other street furniture. You will have 45 minutes to visit as many as possible.  10 points for each control and a 10 point penalty for every minute or part minute over 45 minutes.
